General questions

01How does an order work?

A job starts with an enquiry (form, e-mail or phone). A quotation follows, with the proposed technology, material, price and date. Once you confirm the quotation, it becomes a binding order and the part goes into production.

The full process in an article

02What files should I send?

It is quickest with a 3D model (STL, STEP or OBJ) or a drawing (PDF, DXF). It also helps to include the purpose, quantity, material and any deadline. Details for each service are on a separate page.

How to prepare your files

03Is the calculator estimate binding?

No. The price estimate from the calculator is only indicative and is not a binding offer. The binding price is in the quotation.

04Can I order a single piece?

Yes, we produce from 1 pc. For small jobs a minimum order value applies, which you can find with each service.

05What if I do not have a 3D model?

That is fine. From your sketch, photo, dimensions or a physical sample we can model the part, or scan it.

3D modelling

06When will the part be ready?

The date depends on the technology, scope and quantity. It is agreed for the specific job and we confirm it before production starts.

07How do I receive the part?

You can collect the finished part in person in Prešov, or we can send it by courier. Shipping costs are paid by the customer unless agreed otherwise.

08How does payment work?

Payment is by invoice. For larger or longer jobs, a deposit before production starts may be agreed.

09What happens to my files?

We use the files you supply only to carry out your order. The handling of personal data is described on the Privacy policy page.

FAQ

3D printing

01How much does 3D printing cost?

The price depends on size, material, technology and quantity. We price each project individually – send us a model or a description and we will prepare a quotation.

02What is the minimum order value?

For small orders, a minimum order value of 20 € excl. VAT applies. You can find an indicative price estimate in the calculator.

03What file format do you need?

STL or STEP is ideal. We can usually process other formats (OBJ, 3MF…). If you do not have a model, we can design one for you.

04Which technology should I choose – FDM, SLA or SLS?

FDM is the most accessible and suits most projects. We recommend SLA for detailed parts with a smooth surface. SLS suits strong functional parts without support structures. If you are not sure, we will advise you.

05How long does production take?

It depends on size, complexity and material. We will tell you the exact deadline before production starts.

06Do you also do series production?

Yes, we produce single pieces as well as series. We will discuss the size of the series when you send your enquiry.

07Do you print for customers outside Prešov?

Yes. You send us the model online and we deliver the finished part by courier.

FAQ

CNC milling

01What file format do you need?

STEP, IGES or DXF is ideal. If you have a drawing in PDF or another format, contact us – we can usually process any input.

02What is the minimum order?

We produce from a single piece. For small orders, a minimum order value of 50 € excl. VAT applies.

03How long does production take?

It depends on complexity, material and quantity. We will tell you the exact deadline before production starts.

04Do you also provide surface finishing?

We can provide basic finishing (deburring, sanding). For anodising, painting or galvanic coatings, we work with partners.

05Can you make a part from a physical sample alone?

Yes. In combination with 3D scanning, we can digitise the part and then mill it.

06Can you also process another material?

If you have a specific material, contact us. We will assess its machinability and propose a procedure.

FAQ

Laser engraving and cutting

01Do I need a vector file?

For engraving text and logos, SVG or AI is ideal. For photo engraving, a good-quality JPG or PNG with sufficient resolution is enough. We will help you prepare the file.

02What is the minimum order value?

For small orders, a minimum order value of 20 € excl. VAT applies. You can find an indicative price estimate in the calculator.

03What is the minimum engraving size?

It depends on the material and the design. On wood, fine detail is limited by the grain structure. We will advise a reasonable minimum size when you send your enquiry.

04Is the engraving permanent?

Yes. The laser removes or melts the material, so the result is mechanically durable. On metals it is an engraving of the surface, and on wood it is a burn mark.

05Can you cut metal with a laser?

Our equipment does not cut metal. We engrave the surface of aluminium and stainless steel in-house, and for smaller volumes we can arrange metal cutting through a partner. Write to us and we will advise what is best for your order.

06How long does an order take?

It depends on complexity, quantity and material. We will tell you the deadline before production starts.

FAQ

3D scanning

01How large an object can you scan?

We scan from a few centimetres upwards. Larger parts are handled in sections or on site. We assess each case individually.

02What is the minimum order value?

For small orders, a minimum order value of 50 € excl. VAT applies. You can find an indicative price estimate in the calculator.

03What if the object is shiny or transparent?

We treat shiny surfaces with a washable scanning spray. Transparent objects need a matt spray coating, and we will advise you case by case.

04Will I get a STEP file for CAD?

You always receive the polygon mesh (STL or OBJ). Conversion to a parametric STEP model is possible for an additional charge, as it is manual work in CAD software.

05Do I have to bring the object in person?

You can send smaller objects by post or bring them to Prešov. For larger items or machines, we can travel to you.

FAQ

3D modelling

01What materials do you need from me?

The more precise your input materials, the better the result and the fewer revisions. Useful inputs include dimensions, a drawing, photographs of the part, an existing scan or a sample. A hand sketch is usually only a starting point, and dimensions and requirements typically need to be added. When you send an enquiry, we will advise what to add.

02What is the minimum order value?

For small orders, a minimum order value of 30 € excl. VAT applies. You can find an indicative price estimate in the calculator.

03How long does modelling take?

It depends on the complexity of the part. We will always confirm the deadline in advance.

04Will I also get a 2D drawing?

Yes, we can prepare a technical drawing in PDF or DWG format for an additional charge.

05What if I also want it manufactured?

Modelling and manufacturing with us is the ideal combination. You save time and avoid errors when files are passed between suppliers.

FAQ

Technical documentation

01What do I need to provide?

Ideally a finished 3D model (STEP, IPT). If you do not have a model, we can create one (3D modelling) or document a physical part by measuring it.

02What is the minimum order value?

For small orders, a minimum order value of 30 € excl. VAT applies. You can find an indicative price estimate in the calculator.

03Does the drawing comply with standards?

We prepare drawings to the standards you require (ISO, DIN or EN). Please state the standard in your enquiry.

04Will I also get an editable file?

You always receive a PDF. An editable DWG is available for an additional charge, for future updates in your CAD system.

05Can you document an old part without a model?

Yes, we measure the part and create a drawing. For a more precise result, we recommend combining it with 3D scanning.
