2. Scope of services
MATERIA provides made-to-order manufacturing in 3D printing (FDM, SLA, SLS), CNC milling, laser engraving and cutting, 3D scanning, 3D modelling and technical documentation, based on files supplied by the customer or a design created by MATERIA from the customer’s brief.
3. Order and process
An order starts with an enquiry (contact form, e-mail or phone), followed by a quotation proposing the technology, material, price and lead time. Once the customer confirms the quotation, a binding order is created. A step-by-step description is in the article How an order works at MATERIA.
4. Price and payment
The price is based on the supplied files (3D model, drawing, material, quantity) and is stated in the quotation. The estimate produced by the calculator on the website is indicative only and is not a binding offer. Payment is made against an invoice; for larger or longer orders a deposit may be agreed before production starts.
5. Delivery
The delivery date is agreed when the order is confirmed and depends on the scope and complexity of the job. The finished part can be collected in person in Prešov or sent by courier. Shipping costs are paid by the customer unless agreed otherwise.
6. Supplied files and intellectual property
We use the files you supply only to carry out your order. The customer is responsible for ensuring that the files supplied (3D models, drawings, designs) do not infringe the rights of third parties. Works created by MATERIA from its own design remain its intellectual property unless agreed otherwise. MATERIA reserves the right to use photographs of completed orders for presentation purposes (website, portfolio, social media) unless the customer explicitly asks otherwise.
7. Liability and complaints
MATERIA is responsible for the manufactured part matching the agreed files and the chosen technology. Complaints should be raised promptly after receiving the part, preferably in writing to our contact e-mail. MATERIA is not liable for a mismatch caused by an error in files supplied by the customer (for example, a wrong dimension or geometry in a 3D model).
8. Withdrawal from the contract
Our work is made to the customer’s requirements. Under Slovak Act No. 102/2014 Coll., a consumer therefore cannot withdraw within 14 days from a contract for goods made to the consumer’s specific requirements. An order can be cancelled before production starts; in that case the customer pays only the costs already incurred.

10. Final provisions
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the law of the Slovak Republic. MATERIA may update them from time to time; the current version is always available on this page. If a dispute with a consumer cannot be resolved directly, the consumer may contact an alternative dispute resolution body, for example the Slovak Trade Inspection (soi.sk); the EU online dispute resolution platform is available at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
