What is technical documentation?

Technical documentation includes drawings, bills of materials, and technical reports that describe a product or assembly so another manufacturer or engineer can reproduce and understand it.

We can prepare a 2D drawing from a finished 3D model, or document an existing physical part through measurement and sketching.

Outcome meets ISO, DIN, or EN standards according to requirements.

Frequently asked questions

What do I need to provide?

Ideally a finished 3D model (STEP, IPT). If you do not have a model, we can create it (3D modeling) or document a physical part by measurement.
Does the drawing meet ISO standards?

Yes. We draw according to ISO 128 (representation) and ISO 286 / ISO 1101 (tolerances). DIN and EN standards are also available on request.
Will I also get an editable file?
+
PDF is always included. Editable DWG is available at extra cost for future updates in your CAD system.
Can you document an old part without a model?
+
Yes - bring the part, we measure it and create a drawing. For higher accuracy we recommend combining this with 3D scanning.
